  • Labor: Price it from crew hours and production rates: (square feet ÷ daily production rate) × crew size × burdened hourly rate. Your own job history is the only production data worth trusting. Until you have it, commonly cited starting points are 250–400 sq ft per day for nail-down hardwood and 40–60 sq ft per hour for 12×12 tile, adjusted down for patterns, small rooms, and heavy cutting. Common Mistakes That Throw Off Flooring Estimates

  • Using gross building area instead of net room-by-room square footage
